The Carmel Christkindlmarkt is the premier holiday attraction in Carmel, Indiana, welcoming more than 475,000 visitors in 2023. The sights, smells, and vendors transport visitors into the world of an authentic Christmas market in Germany. Enjoy authentic German treats, sip warm Glühwein or Glühbier, ice skate on a gorgeous outdoor rink, and more.
The Market is free to attend and open to all. There is a fee for ice skating and any food, drink or gifts that are purchased.

Indiana State Museum’s Celebration Crossing opens in grand style with Santa’s arrival by helicopter on the front lawn! Come join him, Mrs. Claus and the elves on Nov. 28 at 10:30 a.m. as he lights the magnificent 92 County Tree and officially opens the museum’s signature holiday experience.
Throughout December visitors can meet the jolly old elf daily in his fanciful house and children can play in Santa’s Front Yard and Reindeer Barn. The Snowfall Express is a must for all ages and offers a magical train ride through a snowy forest filled with music, movement and wonder. Elsewhere in the museum, visitors can enjoy performances by local choirs and ensembles at Holiday Sounds, see the original Santa Claus Express train and animated window displays from the downtown Indianapolis L. S. Ayres store and more.
Celebration Crossing is free for Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites members and included with museum admission. Come experience the holiday magic for yourself!

At the Athenaeum Christkindlmarkt, you’ll find the traditional festival elements (music, warm raclettes, gluhwein and plenty of platzchen to go around) are just the foundation for special storytelling traditions unique to our rich, German culture. The Indiana State Fairgrounds presents Christmas Nights of Lights, Indy’s largest drive-thru light show synchronized to holiday music on your car radio! Experience all new displays, including a new light-up forest.

SPARK Holidays on the Circle will feature themed musical performances and appearances from Santa Claus within the Northwest bollards of Monument Circle. These events are free and open to the public. During SPARK festivities, hot coco and coffee will be available for purchase onsite. SPARK is made possible by DII, Big Car Collaborative, and the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development with support from the Capital Improvement Board and the Indiana War Memorials Commission.

Located in the heart of Holliday Park, the Ice Rink offers a family-friendly outdoor skating experience surrounded by the park’s natural beauty.
